PEDAL power will meet petal power at a popular North-East flower show next month.
Cyclists are being encouraged to participate in an eight-mile bike ride departing from the Gateshead Spring Flower Show, Whickham Highway, Lobley Hill at 10.30am on Easter Sunday.
The ride will go via Kibblesworth to the Tanfield Railway, returning to the flower show one and a half hours later when participants will gain free entry.
The ride is part of a series organised by Gateshead Council with several other local authorities, Sustrans, Great North Forest and Tyne Bikes.
Cycling events will run from April to October. To book a place on the Easter ride, contact Stewart Corker on 0191-433 3082 by Thursday, April 8.
