FAMILIES interested in fostering and adoption are invited to an open evening tomorrow to find out more.
Sunderland social services is holding the event at its training centre in Carrmere Road, Leechmere Industrial Estate.
Staff will be on hand between 6.30pm and 8.30pm to answer questions and give further information.
The sessions are held monthly and 34 people turned up for the March event.
Principal fostering and adoption officer Shelagh Gregory said: "It was wonderful to find so many people coming forward to find out more about foster caring and adoption and then offering to care for a child.
"What was particularly pleasing was that the people who attended our open evening were offering everything from adoption to mainstream fostering and short break foster care for children with disabilities."
For more information, call Shelagh Gregory on 0191-382 3108.
