ESTRANGED fathers are to hold a fresh demonstration in the North-East in their campaign to highlight problems over access to children.

The pressure group Fathers 4 Justice said it would target an as yet unnamed office of the Children and Family Court Advisory Service (Cafcass).

It advises courts on child and family matters when couples separate.

Paul Watson, a spokesman for the North-East branch of Fathers 4 Justice, said Cafcass did not believe that both parents were equal and he said it was a discredited organisation.

Fathers 4 Justice members intend to lobby a Cafcass office in the North-East today dressed in protective masks and white overalls.

The protest is intended to make a visual point in a campaign to "clean up family law".

Earlier this year, Mr Watson joined colleagues dressed in superhero costumes for a protest on the Tyne Bridge, Newcastle.

He has recently secured a meeting with Prime Minister Tony Blair, set to take place next month, to discuss his concerns about child access.

Fathers 4 Justice wants a change in the law to ensure that all parents and grandparents get access to children when a couple separate.
