Rohm and Haas JOC Hetton Youth League: Sacriston who have struggled for most of the season upset the form book defeating Ryhope in the semi-final of the prestigious Sunderland Eye Infirmary Cup.
The Wearsiders were firm favourites to make it into the final and when they led 2-1 at the halfway stage, Sacriston looked doomed.
But the home side rallied and in the end deservedly went through by a 4-2 margin.
Dave Dowdy was Sacriston's only scorer in the first period while Michael Turnbull and Michael Pattinson struck for Ryhope.
In the second period Sacriston produced possibly their best football of the season and were rewarded with a brace of goals from Scott Embleton and one by Ashley Bridge.
Sacriston, who are bottom of both the league table and the Subsidiary Cup table, will meet Jarrow St Bede in the final.
Liam Clark and William Guage netted for St Bedes in the first half and although Lumley replied on one occasion, they finished 3-1 losers as Clark hit his second goal.
