Jurworth Point-to-Point, Hutton Rudby, near Darlington March 20: Imps Way ridden by Lee Bates owned and trained by Tracey Corrigan-Clark from Sawdon near Scarborough won his third point-to-point this season.
This was his first win in an Open race as well as in the Land Rover Men's Open Series at the Hurworth point-to-point at Hutton
Rudby.
The race was run in terrible conditions with gales blowing down tents and driving hail storms which meant only two horses completed the course.
Imps Wray bred by Caroline Robinson from Allerston is the fifth generation of horses she and her husband have bred and will have his fan club travelling to Cheltenham for the final at Cheltenham on April 28.
This race was one of 27 qualifying races for the Land Men's Open Championship held at point-to-points throughout the UK with the final being held at Cheltenham on Wednesday April 28.
