Hoping to build on the successful 2003 season, Bishop Auckland Cricket Club are enthusiastically preparing for the coming season.
With most of last season's players attending indoor nets at Darlington, the season looks highly promising.
Added to current players will be Ben Usher, one of the best all rounders of recent years in NYSD cricket and Karl McGregor, a highly promising young player from Etherley plus one or two players returning to the club.
An innovation for 2004 is a third team playing in the Sunday division of the NYSD. Players who wish to play in this team should contact Geoff Sawyer or Tony Senadhira.
At least one friendly has been arranged against Sunderland CC on April 9 and others may follow.
Outdoor nets will start when weather permits.
Clubhouse facilities are available to organisations and individuals for parties, weddings etc. Telephone the club house on (01388) 603371.
