There have been no prolific rises but, calmer conditions have seen more fish on the top of the water with fish being caught all around the reservoir, with the damn wall doing well, and a few fish even being caught on dry fly.
Successful flies have again been a mixture of lures and naturals with cats whiskers, fritz, baby dolls and of course the Dawson's olive being the pick of the lures. The best naturals have been black buzzers, gold ribbed hares ears and pheasant tails with a couple of anglers having success on Diawl Bachs. A couple of spooned rainbows showed that they had been feeding freely on black buzzers. Best fish of the week was a 4.5lb rainbow and the rod average 4.1.
