The cream of British motorcycle club racers head for Croft Circuit this weekend when the track plays host to two rounds of the prestigious BMCRC and MRO championship series.
Predominantly for amateur racers and seen as a stepping stone to the professional ranks, tomorrow's action will see riders chasing glory in the second round of the 'Bemsee' Nationwide Championship before the big guns enter the fray on Sunday when round two of the MRO Powerbike Tour takes place.
The opening rounds of the series took place at Snetterton the same weekend when local aces were in North East Motorcycle Racing Club action at Croft so this weekend will see a number of Croft regulars lock horns with the established stars of the clubman's scene.
BSB Cup front runner Sam Corke will face stiff opposition from locals including Dennis Hobbs from Guisborough and Durham's Dave Bell.
Lee Dickinson leads the 250cc series with Daniel Webb in command of the Aprilia RS125 Superteen Championship but local riders to have won this year at Croft include Newcastle's Keith Pringle (1000cc Aprilia) and Crook rider Keith Taylor (400cc Yamaha), both of whom are sure to figure during the weekend.
Darlington brothers Richie and Jonathan Harrison also aim for glory at their local circuit after a hectic start to the season which saw them just miss out on points on the long trip to Snetterton for the opening round.
Saturday sees the BMCRC Nationwide Championship races as well as MRO qualifying and action gets underway at 9.30am with racing from 10.25 while Sunday's nine-race programme commences at noon.
Adult admission is £6 tomorrow and £12 on Sunday with accompanied children under-15 admitted free on both days.
