SIXTEEN projects, including a Redcar High Street cycle shop, a Georgian townhouse and two guesthouses, have benefited from a town centre grant scheme.
The West Redcar Single Regeneration Budget's Town Centre Property Improvement grant has been awarded to 16 projects.
Askeys Cycle Centre qualified for £10,000 to restore its windows.
Clarendon House also received £10,000 to restore the doors and windows of its Grade II-listed building.
A2Z Guest House and All Welcome Inn bed and breakfast received £6,000 grants to help towards installing en-suite facilities.
Redcar town centre manager John Partridge said: "The scheme has made a significant contribution to improving the townscape and we hope it can continue in some form later this financial year.
"Part of the approval for the project expects outputs to be achieved on jobs created, jobs safeguarded and buildings improved.
"The main objectives have been to improve the external condition of town centre properties, encourage owners to bring property back into use and reduce the number of vacant premises.
"We also want to improve facilities in accommodation providers and restore original architectural features where possible."
