A NEWTON Aycliffe art gallery has been transformed by an explosion of colour for a spring exhibition.
The exhibition, by Dutch artist Maaike Draper Albers, opened at Greenfield School Community and Arts Centre this week and runs until Friday, April 16.
Ms Albers' work has been displayed throughout the region and many of her paintings have found their way into private collections across Europe.
The artist has also completed several commissions, including a painting for Hummersknott School and Language College, in Darlington, to celebrate the international spirit.
The gallery is open Monday to Thursday from 9am to 9pm, and Friday from 9am to 5pm. For details call (01325) 379048.
