A MEETING of Darlington Town Mission has paid tribute to its retiring secretary.
The group's annual general meeting heard a tribute to Beth Ardron, who has been secretary of the town mission for 16 years.
She was thanked for her hard work and support, and given a gift on behalf of members.
The chairman of Darlington Town Mission, the Reverend Alan Coates, who was re-elected at the meeting, asked members in his annual address to consider the challenges for the future.
The mission's annual service will be held in Bondgate Church on Thursday, April 29, at 7.30pm .
