MORE than 30 jobs will be created when a £200,000 bar and restaurant opens.
A 160-year-old listed office building in John Street, Sunderland, is being converted into a Hollathans eatery.
It will serve food from Mediterranean and Pacific Rim countries, with snacks and drinks available on the ground floor and full table service upstairs.
The restaurant will be managed by Nick Anderson, who is transferring from the sister Hollathans in Durham City.
He said: "It is an up and coming area for quality shops and restaurants, where you are assured of finding something out of the ordinary."
The restaurant and bar is expected to open in August.
