TWO brothers - both milkmen - pulled more than a pint in their local pubs and are celebrating a special delivery.
Mark and Paul Innes went on a double date with sisters Anna and Clare Bedford, both landladies, and the couples have had baby girls.
Anna gave birth to Imogen Leigh on November 23 last year, and Clare had Ella Louise on March 22.
The couple, from County Durham, said they were delighted.
Clare 24, said: "I am so happy because the two of them now will be like sisters."
The former landlady of the Hat and Feathers Inn, in Medomsley, near Consett, said: "They will be in the same year at school and hopefully really good friends."
Anna, 31, landlady of the Earl Grey, in nearby West Kyo, said: "Me and my sister have always been really close and the two brothers have always been close, so I hope the two new ones will be the same."
Both sisters gave birth in the same delivery room at the University of North Durham Hospital.
Anna met Paul, 28, when he started delivering milk to her pub two years ago.
After five months together, Paul arranged a double date, introducing Clare to his brother Mark, 24, and the pair hit it off at once.
Until recently, Paul and Mark were both milkmen at the same dairy in Consett, County Durham, but Mark has since moved jobs.
The couples live together in houses next door to each of the pubs, Anna and Paul in Kyo Road, and Mark and Clare in Derwent View.
Neither couple is planning to tie the knot in the near future, but Clare said a double wedding could be on the cards.
