MORE than 60 youngsters followed an Easter trail in search of their favourite storybook characters yesterday.
The Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland organised a two-hour fundraising event in the walled garden and Bobby Shafto's Playbarn at Whitworth Hall Country Park, near Spennymoor.
Children who took part won prizes for solving clues around the garden and ended their day with party food and a session in the playbarn.
Hospice fundraiser Sylvia Stoneham said: "Everybody enjoyed their day, from tots to teenagers. It was a wonderful way of having fun and raising money for the hospice at the same time."
