AN event is being staged to let young people know what activities are available to them.
Organised by the Social Inclusion Programme, the event will be held on Friday, June 18, and Saturday, June 19, at Peterlee Leisure Centre.
On the Friday, the project is aimed at children and youth groups.
Youngsters will be invited to take part in activities including boarding on a mobile skate park and football training.
On June 19, an event has been organised to show parents and children some of the leisure activities available for families.
As well as taking part in the fun, the youngsters will be able to view displays from organisations that provide youth activities.
Groups can get involved in the event by offering an activity, promoting their work with a display board or handing out leaflets.
Anyone who wants more information can contact PC Mick Hayton, the youth issues officer, at Peterlee Police Office on 0191-586 2621 extension 6702559.
Following the event, a Youth Provision Directory will be compiled for the use of anyone in the Easington district.
