TWO men were remanded in custody yesterday, charged in relation to a stabbing.
Dale Robinson, 29, of Firtree, Shildon, and Andrew Pennington, 31, of Silverdale Place, Newton Aycliffe, both County Durham, are facing charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and violent disorder.
Mr Robinson appeared before Newton Aycliffe magistrates yesterday morning. He was arrested on Sunday after Bobby Walker, also known as Bobby Bradley, was attacked in the town the previous evening.
Mr Pennington was arrested on Monday and appeared before a different bench at Newton Aycliffe yesterday afternoon.
Both men were remanded in custody and will appear before Durham Crown Court tomorrow.
A 26-year-old man will appear before magistrates at Newton Aycliffe this morning facing the same charges.
Mr Walker was moved yesterday from the high dependency unit at Darlington Memorial Hospital to a general ward, where his condition is improving.
