THE North East's tallest office block has become the home to an unusual piece of art over the Easter period.
A clear acrylic egg, seated in a nest of porcelain twigs, will be housed in a Perspex box in the reception of Centre North-East, in Albert Road, Middlesbrough.
Slightly larger than an ostrich egg, it will sit in the foyer, for three weeks, on a powder coated plinth while being lit by a single halogen spotlight.
The Visual Art Beacon Project marks the birth of the new art gallery, Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA), which brings together the collections and exhibitions of the old Cleveland Arts Centre and Middlesbrough Art Gallery.
Creators Adam Paxton and Wendy-Sarah Pacey are two of the country's leading artist jewellers, who both exhibit their work around the world
