THREE men and two women have been charged with conspiracy to supply a controlled drug following a police operation earlier this week.
The five charged by Cleveland Police yesterday were among seven people arrested in dawn raids on 12 town centre addresses in Middlesbrough, involving 100 police officers.
The five have been bailed to appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
Two men who were arrested at the same time have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
A force spokesman said police searches of the raided houses had failed to add anything to the haul retrieved at the time of the raids, of £65,000, a CS gas canister and small amounts of heroin and cannabis.
