Iquarter final of the League Cup David Angiers opened the scoring for Jesmond Parish Church. An own goal from Saint John's Snod's edge stretched the lead to 2-0 at the break.
Chris Atkin pulled a goal back for Saint John's. Duncan McCulloich scored with the last kick of the match to send the match into extra time. Jesmond, from the Premier Division, had the extra strength and Chris Tueart scored to give Jesmond a 4-3 win and a place in the semi-final where they will meet Consett Saint Patricks.
Yarm Emmanuel played Heaton Hearts and Ian Welsh opened the scoring for Heaton with David McQullan equalising before the break. With a semi-final place against Youth Ministry Team Waldridge at stake the match was very tense. With ten minutes left John Mack put Yarm Emmanuel 2-1 ahead to have home advantage in the semis.
In the Premier Division the top match saw Metro Sunderland against second placed Consett Saint Patricks. Metro Church played their worst match of the season and hand Saint Patricks a win. Consett went into a 2-0 lead after ten minutes and it was 3-0 at half time, the game finished 5-0. Goals from Kieron Young, Neil James, Andrew Murray, David Cooke and Rob Nichol.
In Division One only Lanchester Chapel took an initiative and moved into second place. David Marrin drew first blood and sent Lanchester on their way. Andrew Sword scored twice Phil Raisbeck giving them a 4-1 win over Saint Aidan's Chapel Castington. Steve Dunkerley netting for Saint Aidan's.
Bethshan Christian Centre could have neared themselves to the Division one title but dropped three vital points. David Mack gave them a great start but two second half goals from David Selby and Gary Foxwell for Jesmond Parish Corinthians to win 2-1.
The match at Whitley Bay Churches against Monkwearmouth Christians was an exact replica with Chris Stratford putting Whitley Bay on their way but bottom club Monkwearmouth wouldn't lay down and two goals from Ben Hodgeson gave them a 2-1.
Middlesbrough Baptist's moved into second with a visit to Bethshan Athletic with all the goals coming in the first half. Paul Leighton got Middlesbrough off the mark with David Fox equalising. Chris Neal scored the winner for Middlesbrough.
Hope House Church Sunderland took a 3-1 lead at break via Tony Jones, Graham Eglintine and Paul Childs. Whitley Bay Baptist Church had John Gibson on the scoresheet. Whitley Bay struck twice in the second half from Adam Fox and Andrew Webster and so did Hope House's Paul Robinson and Michael Barclay as Hope House won 5-3.
Stockton Baptist Tabernacle played another derby at the weekend against All Saints Church Preston-on-Tees. Man of the match Austin Laidler helped himself to five goals, Richard Wiley and John Iley also netted a goal each. John Belmont and Mark Wells scored for All Saints with Stockton winning 7-2.
