A FULL clubhouse of Bedale Golf Club juniors, accompanied by parents and guardians, joined committee members at the launch of the new junior handbook recently.
The handbook covers subjects such as rules, etiquette, codes of conduct and liabilities of parents and guardians, together with a programme of all events organised for juniors for the complete year.
With the number of juniors at the club approaching 90, the responsibilities of club members who deal with juniors have been addressed to comply with current legislation covering child welfare and protection.
Some of these junior committee members have taken driving instruction so that they can drive juniors to away matches in a mini bus or other form of transport which will require at least two people.
Bedale Golf Club has set its sights on encouraging and developing junior golf throughout the locality and welcomes any junior who would like to try his or her hand at the game.
