Promotion-chasing Goodfellas visited Drinkfield United where the home side continued their good form from the previous week. It only took two minutes for them to open the scoring when Craig Wright hammered the ball into thetop corner from 25 yards. Goodfellas could have equalised on several occassions but for an outstanding performance from Paul Holiday in goal. After withstanding some first half pressure Drinkfield doubled their lead, Wright this time the provider with a ball which was met by Carl Eeles who found the back of the net. Eeles grabbed his second moments later, beating the last defender and slotting ball home after some good work from Daniel Eeles. The second 45 minutes saw Eeles complete his hat-trick when a cross was deflected into this path for a tap-in. Goodfellas gained their consolation when Lee Cacherals' corner found its way into the net, giving a final score of 4-1 to Drinkfield.
MN All Stars had a comfortable victory over Royal Oak. They took the lead after 28 minutes through Lee Harding and it was doubled just before half time through an own goal. Top scorer Steve Howden added a third on the hour mark, Oak almost got back into the game when John Woods hammered a 30 yard free kick goalwards only for keeper Dave Hardisty to pull off a fantastic save. Mike Lee was introduced as a substitute after 65 minutes and scored an exellent five-minute hat-trick on 75, 77 and 80 minutes. Howden added his second to finish off a fine team performance with a 7-0 victory.
The Falchion, whose season started full of promise, can't end soon enough as they went down 6-3 at home to the impressive Smith and Allan. The visitors were three goals to the good after only 20 minutes, the tricky Chris Holiday grabbing a hat-trick. The home side's disastrous start continued as the game took a strange twist as they went down to ten men when a player left the field of play. Andrew Ponsford killed the game for the home side when he netted the visitors' fourth goal as it became a damage limitation exercise. The home side then decided to put up a fight and came storming back, Mike Watt going close before Mike Layton hit a long-range special. Dom Lund added a second when he chipped the keeper, for the first time in the game putting pressure on the visitors. With the home side playing with ten men and pushing forward the gaps appeared at the back and the woodwork came to the rescue on a couple of occasions. Any hopes of an extraordinary comeback were over when the Falchions' keeper Trevor Hardy slipped to let in Holiday for his fourth of the game. Playmaker Adam Gilroy capped a man of the match performance by hitting a superb free kick. Not to be outdone the home team's dead-ball specialist, Gary Tibbett, stepped up to make no mistake with a late free kick to finish the scoring.
Basement side Sherwoods visited Haughton and gave a battling performance that belied their lowly league position. On a heavy pitch that made football very awkward, both teams battled hard and the game was even until ten minutes before half time when Paul Cooper burst through from midfield to slot the ball past the on-coming keeper. Sherwoods tried hard to find an equaliser, but an excellent display by home side keeper Gary Hedley denied the visitors. Paul Legg eventually settled Haughton's nerves when he found some space for himself in the box and finished with a shot into the roof of the net. In the final ten minutes, as Sherwoods pushed forward, the home side punished them on the counter attack with two deft finishes from substitute Paul Mann to make the final score 4-0. Sherwoods showed a lot of improvement and if they continue a place at the foot of the division would seem unlikely, Haughton without some key players, worked hard and a promotion place is well within reach.
Axa Insurance visited the Cricketers and came away all three points and a 4-2 victory. Goals for the home side from David Jones and Kevin Howlett were not enough as James Barber, Jon Roote and a brace from Alan Percival secured the win for Axa. Fighting Cocks played hosts to AFC Aruba where a Robbie Corrance goal separated the two teams and give the visitors a 1-0 victory and three welcome points.
