Guisborough'S Susan Paisley was a beaten finalist in the women's doubles at last weekend's North East Wheelchair Tennis Tournament in Sunderland.
She teamed up with French top seed Florence Gravellier, who lost in the singles final to British number two Janet McMorran, to reach the final.
The pair were beaten 6-1, 6-4 by the top seeds, McMorran and fellow Briton Kimberly Blake.
The men's singles final was an all-French affair in which fourth seed Frederic Cazeaudumec came through to beat top seed Lahcen Majdi 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.
The two Frenchmen later went on to beat British pairing Kevin Plowman and local favourite David Gardner, from Wheatley Hill, 6-2, 6-4 in the men's doubles final.
