Children at two hospitals have been given an Easter treat thanks to the generosity of car dealership customers.
Peugeot dealership Simon Bailes was giving away Easter eggs to customers using its parts department, but many people told staff to keep the chocolate to donate to a local charity.
More than 75 eggs were left over and staff have now shared them out in the children's wards at Northallerton's Friarage and Darlington Memorial hospitals. Marketing manager Bridget Charlton said: "The generosity of many of the customers has been quite overwhelming. I'm sure the chocolate eggs will go to a much better home this way."
