TWO talented youngsters beat more than 50 hopefuls to land roles in a stage production coming to the region later this year.
Nicholas Richardson, 13, from Darlington, and Jessica Louise Inglis, 13, from Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire, were chosen to appear in the Turn of The Screw, at Darlington Civic Theatre.
The pair were picked following auditions which attracted youngsters from across the region.
Director Ian Dickens said: "I've been overwhelmed by the response we have had to the auditions. The standard of performing has been very high and everyone did very well."
The show, starring television's Keeping Up Appearances actor David Griffin, opens on June 29.
