A TEESSIDE language charity plans to double its staff after turnover rose to more than £450,000 in the past year.
Everyday Language Solutions, based at Robert House, in Thornaby, near Stockton, was a business, but gained charitable status two years ago.
It is now hoping to create work for interpreters across the Tees Valley.
The charitable business provides language support for non-English speakers as part of a wider attempt to reduce racial tensions.
Adrienne Atkin, the organisation's new operations manager, said: "The service benefits those disadvantaged by an inability to understand and communicate effectively in English."
