A HOUSEWIFE will open her front room to the 117 electorate in the village of Dunsdale next Thursday.
Marian Cane's house in Redcar Road, will be used in a by-election in the Guisborough ward of Guisborough Town Council.
It is one of six available polling stations for a total electorate of 5,917, who are being asked to choose one of three candidates for the vacancy in the six-seat ward.
Candidates to succeed Councillor John Hale (Conservative), who resigned because of work commitments, are Denise Bunn (Labour), Alan Elliott (Independent) and John Hassan (Conservative). Voting takes place between 8am and 9pm.
The other polling stations are at Park Lane Infants School, Stump Cross Community Centre, Sunnyfield House, Upleatham Methodist Church and De Brus Way Community Centre.
