AN arts and crafts exhibition staged by senior citizens attracted a full hall at a Newton Aycliffe Community Centre.
A total of 27 exhibitors took part in the event, the first of several planned by the Friends of Senior Citizens charity at the Neville community Centre.
Displays included artwork, walking stick making, boat making and driftwood carving.
Organiser Peter Beaty said: "I know I'm biased but in my opinion it was the best arts exhibition I've seen."
The event raised £305, which will be donated to the Mayor of Great Aycliffe's annual charity to buy insulin pumps for children with diabetes.
