Sam Nattress got Darlington GSOB off to a flying start, finding the net in the second minute of their encounter with Darlington Stadia.
But it was the visitors who went in at half-time in the lead through goals from Graham Bartlett and Gavin Harris. In the second half play was still end to end with Old Boys levelling when Dave Abdale headed home. With ten minutes remaining Stadia sneaked the winner through Harris.
Shildon Elm Road WMC and Hurworth Emerson Arms had their usual good game with Elm Road coming out on top 4-3. Elm had the better of the first half and led 2-1, they increased the score in the second with Emerson coming back strongly but couldn't find an equaliser. Carl Dawson (2), Thomas Louden and Craig Evans scoring for Elm Road, Chris Liddle, Dave Walker and James Edwards replied for Emerson.
At Tindale the home side found themselves three down after 20 minutes against Stillington The Royal who went in 4-2 at the interval. Tindale battled their way back in the second to eventually win a hard fought game 5-4. Dean Maddison, Paul Foster, Ashley Wilson, Billy Latcham and Paul Wymer scored for Tindale with Paul Cleary (2), Wayne Muldowney and Lee O'Connell replying for Royal.
Darlington Skerne Park put out a full squad plus subs this week on their visit to Darlington Archdeacon and held them to a 2-1 interval lead. Fitness told in the second as 'Deacon ran out comfortable 6-2 victors, Adam Flynn, Mick Thraves and Ian Thompson scored one apiece whilst Brian Gibson hit a good hat-trick, Wayne Turner and Will Wilkinson were on the mark for Skerne Park.
It was Darlington Dalesman this week who failed to turn out a full side, only nine turning up against Darlington Travellers Rest. Thanks to some good keeping once again by Steve Madden he kept the scoreline to a respectable 3-0, Chris Hall hit a double with the other being a strange own goal.
