The semi finals saw first division East End take on Peppers Draughting Services from the second division and a tremendous game saw both sides comitted to playing excellent football.
When Michael Carter opened the scoring for the second division side in the first ten minutes it looked like PDS would take their place in the final, but their opponents came back strongly and Steve Johnson equalised before Neil Godfrey put East End into the lead.
The second half saw some excellent play from both sides with chances created and missed it was left to man of the match Neil Jackson to hit the third goal to seal their place in the final where they will meet Hurworth Albion who were worthy 2-0 winners over Newton Aycliffe Sports Club. The home side dominated proceedings from the first whistle, two second half goals from the prolific Darren Tate and substitute Chris Liddle saw off the challege from the Sports Club. Hurworth should have been ahead at half time but failed to convert, chances into goals, with Tate, Jonathan Bell, Wayne King and Darren Wray, all coming close but unable to find a finish. Aycliffe started the second half well, but the home side weathered the storm to grab the two goals, the first coming from Tate, who fired home from inside the penalty area, giving the visitors keeper no chance. Liddle's goal saw excellent team play from the home side, with Chris Bellwood springing the offside trap, crossing from the left to the far post where the Liddle sliding in made the game safe.
