PUPILS from Greenfield School in Newton Aycliffe have been experiencing the world of film-making.
The Sunderland and Durham Creative Partnerships team has involved the school in working with Airship Films to make a short film based on the Ten Commandments, called Exodus.
Pupils in years eight and nine, and English teacher Eileen Jennison, worked with writers to create a script based on the commandment "honour thy father and thy mother", and auditioned for parts in the film.
A documentary about the project will be screened on Tyne Tees Television in autumn.
Actors Leigh Verner, Sarah Charlesworth, Jane Littlefair, and Stephanie Gaunt, plus several extras, have been invited to the film premier on June 21, at the Tyneside Cinema, in Newcastle.
