POLICE yesterday expressed their concern for the welfare of a 12-year-old boy who left his home two days ago and has so far failed to return.
Jonathon Lee, who attends Easington Community School, lives with his mother, Kay, in Byron Street, Easington, County Durham.
He left his home at 1pm on Tuesday promising to return by 6pm.
Since he disappeared, there have been sightings of a boy fitting his description in the Horden and Blackhall areas, but so far these reports are unconfirmed.
Jonathon, who has gone missing from home before, is white, 5ft 5in and stocky.
He has dark brown hair, a chubby face and fair complexion. He was wearing a navy hooded top with the word Carlotti on the front, light blue Adidas tracksuit bottoms with three yellow stripes down the sides and black Adidas trainers.
Acting Sergeant Andy Harron, of Seaham police, said: "Obviously, when a boy as young as this fails to return home, both we and his mother are concerned for his well being."
Anyone with information is asked to ring Seaham police station on 0191-581 2255.
