Revolution, The Northern Echo's music website, is seeking bands or solo artists who have recently released a CD to be part of an upcoming event.
Set for June or July, the event aims to give local musicians an opportunity to perform live to promote their releases.
Eskimo, a duo from Richmond, North Yorkshire, have already booked a spot after announcing they will release their first full-length CD this summer.
Two other bands or solo artists are now being sought to complete the line-up.
"One of Revolution's objectives is to give local musicians exposure and a helping hand with their careers, and we think a launch party will provide an excellent platform," said Sean Leonard, Revolution web editor.
Musicians must be over 16 years old and be from the North-East or North Yorkshire. CDs must contain a minimum of five tracks.
To be considered, send CDs to Sean Leonard, Revolution, The Northern Echo, PO Box 14, Priestgate, Darlington, DL1 1NF.
The launch even will take place at The Forum, Borough Road, Darlington, in late June or early July. For more details, log on to www.thisisrevolution.co.uk
