PLANS to build 39 houses in Eaglescliffe look set to be approved despite concern from residents.
Haslam Homes has applied to Stockton Borough Council for permission to build the homes on the Hunter's Green development.
A total of 19 people have objected to the development and the council has also received letters from the CPRE and the Tees Forest Group with concerns about tree planting on the site.
The site is to the north of Urlay Nook Road and the west of Mayfield Close and Emsworth Drive.
The layout will consist of a mix of four-bedroom detached, three-bedroom detached, three-bedroom semi-detached and three-bedroom terraced houses.
Residents have objected to possible loss of green land, traffic congestion and loss of privacy.
A report to the council's planning committee, which meets on Wednesday, recommends approval. It says: "It is considered the proposal represents an appropriate form of development.
