METRO rail services will be suspended at two points on the Tyne and Wear network for engineering work tomorrow.
Continuing work on the installation of a new bridge at Jarrow will mean no Metro service will operate between Pelaw and South Shields until about 9am.
During the period of suspension, trains to and from Newcastle Airport will begin and end at Pelaw.
A bus replacement service, number 901, will operate between Heworth and South Shields.
Metro operator Nexus advised passengers to leave their trains at Heworth and use the bus.
There will also be no service between Benton and Shiremoor until about 10am tomorrow.
The suspension is to allow construction of Backworth station, on North Tyneside, to continue.
During the period of suspension, trains from St James's station, in Newcastle, will terminate at Shiremoor, and trains from South Hylton, Sunderland, will end at Benton.
A bus replacement service, number 900, will operate between Four Lane Ends and Shiremoor.
Details of all Metro and replacement bus services are available by calling Traveline on (0870) 608 2608.
