A PARTNERSHIP to provide a board delivering health, specialist housing and social care services will be discussed by Sedgefield Borough Council this week.
At a meeting on Friday, councillors will be asked to adopt the constitution for the Voluntary Partnership Board for Adult Services.
The partnership would be replicated across the whole of County Durham and is designed to improve services for elderly and other vulnerable adults.
The constitution will also state that the partnership wants to ensure all users and carers receive the most effective and efficient services that can be provided.
It is intended that the board will include members of Sedgefield borough and Durham county councils, a non-executive member and the chief executive of Sedgefield Primary Care Trust, as well as a service user.
There will also be representatives from the county's health and social care team and the borough's director of neighbourhood services.
