THE annual Easter picnic organised by Sedgefield Community Association attracted more than 60 children to the grounds of Ceddesfeld Hall.
The youngsters took part in an egg hunt and competitions with an Easter theme, including decorated eggs and bonnets.
A former Sedgefield town mayor, Councillor Ian Sutherland, and his wife, Sheila, judged the competitions and had a difficult time making their choices.
They were impressed with those who had obviously made their entry without any, or very little adult help.
The youngest winner was three-year-old Edward Reid with a painted and decorated Easter bunny egg.
There was also an Easter egg draw, with every child who registered having the chance to win one of the many eggs on display. Every child who joined in the Easter egg hunt won a small egg as a reward.
