A NORTH Yorkshire company has won a £1.4m contract to develop a base for one of the country's leading cycle clothing and accessory distributors.

Severfield-Reeve Projects, of Thirsk, has won the contract to design and build a warehouse and office facility at Thirsk Industrial Park for Zyro plc.

The Boroughbridge company, which has a £12m turnover, supplies high-performance cycle clothing and accessories retailers throughout the UK.

The new facilty will provide more storage, office, training and showroom space.

Zyro plc joint founder and managing director Julie Ellison said she was delighted to have chosen Severfield-Reeve Projects for the facility.

She said: "We selected them because their integrated service means that they are responsible for the entire project and this allows them to get on with our business while they take care of all aspects of our development without us having to deal with different groups of professionals."

Severfield-Reeve Projects managing director Lindsay Ross, said: "We are delighted to be working with Zyro plc on this project, which is an important addition to our already extensive work on Thirsk Industrial Park."

Construction work on the facility is expected to start in the spring and to be completed by the end of the year.
