PLANS to use security cameras to monitor bus shelters in Yarm are to be discussed.
Between April and November last year, a total of £6,000 was spent replacing glass in Green Route bus shelters on Yarm Road after problems with vandalism.
As a result, two proposals were being considered - using a modern polycarbonate material and the possibility of installing a mobile camera.
The most suitable sites for the camera are being assessed and further investigations are being carried out with Yarm Town Council and Egglescliffe Parish Council.
An update will be given to Stockton Borough Council's parish council liaison forum on Thursday.
