A WEEK of events designed to encourage adults to learn a new skill is being held next month.
Options will range from taster sessions in numeracy and foreign languages to demonstrations and 'have a go' sessions in salsa dancing, car mechanics for beginners and even stained glass window painting.
Adult Learners' Week takes place from May 15 to 21 across the country to give people a free taste of learning.
It is being co-ordinated by the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education, which says there will be something to suit everyone.
Events will be taking place in supermarkets, community centres, adult education colleges, shopping precincts and also on "learning" buses travelling throughout the region.
