PEOPLE are being invited to have their say about what really matters to them when it comes to local policing issues.
The aim of Thirsk's Community and Police Group is to raise awareness and seek the public's support for the work of police through discussing local developments.
Information gathered at the meeting will be passed on to the police authority and Hambleton Community Safety Partnership, to help determine local policing priorities.
The next meeting is on Monday, at 7pm, in Thirsk School.
It will be attended by police authority member Carl Les, while Inspector Val Broadley will answer any questions and listen to any public concerns.
Councillor Les said: "The meeting is an important consultation medium for the police authority to consult at a grass roots level in Thirsk, essential for a truly citizen-focused police force."
