ART works will help to raise funds for a Bedale organisation that helps older people and a breast cancer charity.
Proceeds from a preview of the event, at Tennants' auction house, in Leyburn, will be divided between DalesCare and the Carey Dickinson Fund for Breast Cancer Campaign.
The work by painters, printmakers, potters, glassmakers and sculptors will be on show to invited guests on Thursday, May 13, from 6pm to 9pm. The event will be open to the public free on the following two days from 10am to 5pm. The work will be for sale.
DalesCare, which opened a day centre in Wycar, Bedale, 12 years ago is a charity set up to improve the quality of life for older people in their local communities. The centre offers activities and services, including companionship, as well as a break for carers.
The Carey Dickinson Fund for Breast Cancer Campaign is named after a 39-year-old mother of three who died in 1996, three years after she was diagnosed with a particularly aggressive form of the disease.
After her death her son, then aged 14, decided to make a fundraising cycle ride to raise money for research into breast cancer.
This prompted Mrs Dickinson's husband and her best friend to set up the breast cancer campaign in her name.
To date, it has raised more than £342,000.
