Sunday's games saw Smith and Allan secure three more points with a 5-1 victory away to Sherwoods.
Danny Wilson found the net for the home side, the visitors saw Adam Gilroy, Ryan Wiggins and Chris Holiday get on the scoresheet along with a brace from Lee Anderson.
Title-chasing Newton Cap picked up three valuable points at Axa Insurance with a 3-1 victory. The visitors dominated the game in the early stages and came close to scoring on a couple of occasions.
Axa had chances of their own and should have taken the lead when Alan Percival failed to connect with the goal at his mercy.
The game was goalless going into the second half but a 15 minute Cap blitz saw them score three times, two coming from the prolific Matthew Gowland and one from strike partner Keith Hirst. This spell effectively ended the game, however Percival pulled one back for Axa who started to create more as the game progressed. Despite a couple of near misses at either end, there was no addition to the score keeping the league and cup double dream very much alive for Newton Cap.
Goodfellas were defeated at home by Falchion in this seven-goal thriller. The home side dominated the first half and should have put the game beyond reach by half time. However the scores remained 0-0 at the break. The second half was eventful for all the wrong reasons for Goodfellas.
The visitors started the half well scoring three times in the early stages, the home side pulled two goals back through Chris Tarn and Phil Cornforth. Goodfellas were then reduced to nine men when defender and keeper disputed a hand ball in the penalty area. The visitors converted the resulting spot kick and then went on to score a fifth, Dom Lund and Anth Burton were on target for the Falchion along with a hat-trick by man of the match Mike Watt.
Second-placed MN All Stars visited bottom side Cricketers and were made to fight all the way for a 3-2 victory. Martin Sturgen and two from Steve Howden were just enough as David Colley and David Jones netted for the home side.
League leaders St. Augustines took the lead after ten minutes on a visit to the Fighting Cocks when a cross shot from Marty Smith found its way into the net. Fighting Cocks equalised with a good move down the right, Wayne Rabys' cross forced home by Gary Bowman. The visitors went in front again just after the break when a left wing cross was flicked home off the head of Stephen Piper. They increased their lead when a twice taken penalty by Andy Cairns could only be parried into the net by Andrew Rice in the Cricketers goal. The lead was cut soon after when Jonathan McWilliams converted the games second penalty after a hand ball in the visitors box. St. Augustines sealed the points and their position in top spot when Anthony Brockley ran through and smashed home in the dying minutes to make the final score 3-2 to the visitors. Promotion chasing Haugton went to Drinkfield United, controlled the game and came away with a 5-0 victory.

Four games took place in division three, with victories for Newton Cap with a 1-0 win over Haughton. Smith and Allan visited AFC Aruba where the goal for the home side by Nick Chew was not enough to prevent the visitors winning 4-1 thanks to goals from Andrew Ponsford, Dean Browne and a double from Chris Holiday. Goodfellas, with goals from Corry and Sproates proved too much for Royal Oak as they secured a 2-0 victory and Sherwoods had a welcome victory 4-1 over The Cricketers. Goals from Darren Dalby, James Gilby, Steve Park and Gareth Hodgson, saw them home as Alan Tweddle replied for the visitors.
* Three of the five teams to be promoted from division three are now known: St Augustines, MN All Stars - both in their first season - and Newton Cap. Haughton and Smith and Allan are looking likely to join them, only Smith and Allan of those five teams cannot win the championship.
