NEIL WAINWRIGHT has challenged his Darlington teammates to banish lingering relegation worries by beating Lincoln City tomorrow.
Quakers head to Sincil Bank knowing a win will ensure Third Division safety. They are six points clear of the relegation zone after Saturday's win over Oxford.
And while fifth-placed Lincoln have their own promotion aspirations, Wainwright believes Quakers have just as much to play for.
"There was a nice feeling in the dressing room after Oxford," said Wainwright.
"The lads responded brilliantly after the Southend game, especially when there was so much pressure on us.
"We know we're almost there but we also know that we need to go to Lincoln and make sure.
"It should be an interesting game because they've got plenty to play for at the top of the table.
"But we're all confident we can get a result."
Lincoln are unbeaten in their last nine league games - but boss Keith Alexander will be forced to watch tomorrow's game from the stands after being handed a three-match touchline ban by the Football Association.
He was found guilty after making gestures to the crowd at Bury on August 25.
Quakers are boosted by the return of skipper Neil Maddison tomorrow, while defender Craig Liddle will play despite a stomach strain.
Joey Hutchinson will serve a one-match ban for the last home game of the season against Swansea on May 1.
He was sent off in the 3-2 defeat at Southend on Bank Holiday Monday.
