In the premier division the battle continues at the top and bottom of the table. Metro Church were at home to Jesmond Parish Athentians and wanted to knock Consett Churches off top place while Athenians needed to win to avoid the drop.
John Boyd gave Metro a 2-0 lead, Neil Fitzpatrick pulled a goal back for Athenians, Kevin Elliott and Gary Thomas stretched the lead to 4-1 and with goals from Dave Hepton and Jason Alexander finished the scoring in favour of Metro 4-3.
Airport Church travelled to Hewworth Christian Fellowship and opened the scoring from Andrew Roberts before Anthony Dixon equalised. After the break Andrew Shaw put Heworth 2-1 ahead. A penalty from Anthony Dixon made it 3-1 and then Euan McGarrity got Airport back in the match with a penalty. Andrew Shaw got his second to make it 4-2. At the death Ben Oliver made the final score 4-3.
Consett Churches are one match away from winning the premier division title after going to St Peters Low Fell and coming away with three points. Rob Nichol put Consett ahead, Rob Laybourne equalised before the first 45 minutes were over. Two goals from Neil James in the second half gave Consett a 3-1 win.
Andy Widdrington put Jesmond Parish Church 1-0 up but the second half saw Ryton Curches' Peter Sutherland make the score 1-1 and share the points and killed Jesmond's chances of retaining the championship.
Bethshan Christian Centre need one point to secure promotion, they have a massive goal difference so they may bell be already promoted after this week's 5-0 win over St Aidans Chapel Castington who were relegated after this result. Martin Kay got three first-half goals, Mark Langdown and Simon Catavado also scored.
Whitley Bay Churches met Lanchester Chapel and Andrew Sword scored twice in the second half for a 2-0 Lanchester win which puts them in prime position.
Yarm Emmanuel put Monkwearmouth Christians into the second division after demolishing them in a 8-0 rout. Marc Dale got the first three with Craig Laycock scoring twice and goals from Jon Mac and Andrew Conlan.
Jesmond Parish Corinthians secured their place in division one with a 6-2 home win over St Johns Snods Edge. David Selby scored a hat-trick with Scott Martin netting two and a shot from Simon Richardson. Martin Thompson and Ray Wilkinson scored for St Johns.
In the second division, with their first season in the league, Youth Ministry Team Waldridge are champions. Having lost one match all season they beat City Church Newcastle 5-2. Phil Bond put City ahead before the break, David Millen (2), Karl Kalugarama, Dan Jackson and David Purdy scored for Youth with Jon Elliott getting City's second.
Bethshan Athletic will end up with the wooden spoon as they lost to Hope House Church 2-0 with goals from Paul Robinson and Tony Jones. The match at All Saints Church Preston against Whitley Bay Baptist Church saw 11 goals. Steven Brookbanks put Saints 2-0 ahead, Andrew Webster pulled a goal back, Rob Cann and Mark Wells gave Saints a 4-1 lead. Jordan Murphy took it to 4-2 then John Belmont and Ben Kerry scored for 6-2. Whitley tried with Adam Fox (2) and Steven Anthony, but just ran out of time to lost 6-5.
