Tow Law Juniors: Tow Law Juniors strengthened their hopes of landing the League Championship when they beat the visiting Mulgrave Athletic from Hartlepool by four goals.
The Lawyers began in fine style and took the game to the visitors, who kept the score line blank thanks to the sterling efforts of goalkeeper, Mitchell Robb.
However the deadlock was broken when some good work by Adam Sullivan and Chris Wayman set up an excellent ball for Nicky Martin to run on and put the home side ahead after 35 minutes. Four minutes later David Murray cracked in an unstoppable effort from eight yards to increase the home lead. Just before the break Mulgrave reduced the arrears with a good goal from Andy Spedding.
After 51 minutes Andrew Bonilla produced a defence splitting pass, which Nicky Martin took full advantage of before completing his hat-trick nine minutes later when he converted a chance set up by Anthony Lee and Adam Sullivan.
Mulgrave made some spirited attacks but found the home centre backs, David Curry and Michael Coulthard in fine form. After 65 minutes the Lawyers went further ahead when Nicky Martin grabbed his fourth from a good cross from Daniel Appleby on the left. A one-two between Dwain Dobson and Adam Sullivan saw Dwain complete the home scoring.
The visitors' heads never dropped and they fought hard with William Bland in the home goal pulling off two good saves but was then beaten by a fine effort from Dean Ryan leaving the Lawyers as the 6-2 winners.

Norton and Stockton Ancients
Norton Under-11s clinched the first division title with a magnificent 2-1 away win at nearest rivals Marton. Norton had a great start, taking the lead after two minutes with Carl Robson finishing well after hesitancy in the Marton defence. Norton controlled the game after this and Calum Hassan brought one superb save from the home keeper who pushed his 20 yard effort onto the bar. The Marton keeper also saved well from a Robson header. Marton started the second half much more determined but could not break through a well organised Norton defence. Norton scored a second when Robson had a great shot parried by the keeper but Ben Turner followed up to rifle the ball into the net. Marton then started to pile on the pressure and got a goal back with a good finish with ten minutes to go. This led to a frantic last ten minutes with Marton throwing everything forward. Norton defended brilliantly and broke quickly to cause problems for Marton but they could not get the third goal to kill the game off. The final whistle blew to give Norton the vital victory they needed. Credit should be given to two excellent teams who gave everything in a fantastic football match.
The Under-10s played a really entertaining game against Allstars with both teams giving nothing away, both strong in all areas of the pitch. Norton almost grabbed the lead after some good passing football resulted in the Allstars keeper making a good save from N Mohun. Allstars took the lead after a shot on goal deflected off a Norton player and gave Norton goalie Thomas Johnson no chance to make a save. Norton were unlucky not to equalise after Matthew Garbutt laid the ball back to Matthew Simcox who hit a great effort, only for the Allstars keeper to make a good save. Norton pressed on again but could not grab a goal back and in the last five minutes Allstars put the game out of reach after a high shot somehow dipped into the Norton goal.
Norton Under-13 B returned to their League programme recording a 5-2 win at Nunthorpe Youth Club. A good low cross from Bell was finished by Cook on two minutes with Norton passing the ball around in fine style. Nunthorpe equalised from a direct free kick, before Stephenson set up Cronesberry for 2-1. In the second half Cook made his own second with a strong right wing run and chipped finish, and another Nunthorpe direct free kick, off the bar and into the net, made the score 3-2. Great left wing work between Bell Atkinson and Stott gave Cook his hat-trick, and a strong run from Cronesberry set up Stott for Ancients' fifth, following a good stop from keeper Edon at the other end. Good performances on the day from Stephenson, Gell and Hardman.
Norton Under-10s felt they had something to prove in their game against Redcar as the first encounter between these teams showed a true difference in class earlier in the season. The game started with both teams being evenly matched playing some attractive football but both defences and keepers were having the upper hand with nothing to choose between the teams. In the later stages of the first half, Todd was adjudged to bring a Redcar striker down but they could not convert the spot kick. Norton became the stronger in the second half but there still was nothing to choose between the teams, until a speculative shot was bundled over the line by Roberts. Norton continued to play attractive confident football ending the season on a high with six wins out of seven starts. Final score was 1-0 to Norton.
The Under-15 B team beat Eston 2-0 with Johnson scoring both goals.
