A CHILDREN'S choir from Africa will visit Ripon next week.
The African Children's Choir will perform at two concerts in Holy Trinity Church, on Wednesday and Friday.
The choir is made up of children, aged from six to 12, from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria and Ghana.
Jerry Wilkes, a member of the congregation at Holy Trinity, attended a concert by the choir last year and arranged for them to visit Ripon.
He said: "Here in the West, we have so much, and can't always appreciate it. They have had so little, yet have so much joy and hope."
The choir runs schools in Kenya, Rwanda, the Sudan and Uganda.
Tickets cost £2 for adults, £1 for concessions, or £5 for a family ticket. They are available from Ripon Travel, Kirkgate, Ripon CVS, Allhallowgate and The Ark Bookshop.
