YOU are more than likely to get a cold shower in Ian Codling's new "bathroom".
In fact, you would come out of it dirtier than when you went in,
For Mr Codling has constructed and outdoor bathroom in his garden, complete with pink bathtub, loo, bidet, sink, mirror and shower - all now filled with soil and colourful plants. Privacy in the bathroom in a corner of the garden at the house on Topcliffe Road, Thirsk, is assured by a rustic fence.
"We put in a new bathroom and, as I like to give our large garden different interesting aspects, I thought it would be a novel idea to have an outdoor bathroom using the discarded suite," said Mr Codling
The bathroom garden comes complete with shower switch pull, which sends a stream of water into the shower tray.
The bathroom is not the only novel creation Mr Codling has completed.
"I always wanted a house with a stream at the bottom of the garden. We haven't one here, so I decided to create one," he said.
The miniature stream winds its way along the bottom of the lawn, water cascading from a crag of rocks and meanders through a bridge.
"I'm not sure what design I will create next," said Mr Codling.
