Richmond and District Carpet Bowls League
The final night of the league's season was the knockout competition and presentation evening held in the Hunton Village Hall. This was the first time it was held at this venue, everyone was very impressed.
This year's championship was won by Bishopdale who won on equal points over Catterick Village but won on a better woods difference. They had been runners-up for the last three years so well done Bishopdale.
The knockout competition was just as close when Catterick short mat beat Bishopdale by one shot. Mr Ian Leathley of Quality Foods presented the prizes. A pooled supper and raffle concluded a very successful evening.
