Crook Town Ladies: Crook Town hosted a league game against South Durham Royals on Thursday, April 15 and Crook took the three points thanks to a hat-trick from Nicky Duckling and a superb performance by goalkeeper from Jodie Wakes.
These points assure Crook runners-up in the Northern Regional Women's Football League division one.
Nicky scored on 15, 25 and 51 minutes while Caz Ross scored on 80 minutes with a header that went in off the bar.
On Sunday Crook travelled to Cumbria to play Carlisle in the semi-finals of the League Cup with only 12 players. Three key players were cup ties, injuries and work commitments with four others gave the younger, less experienced players Lizzie Ward, Jayne Mandeville and Sarah Whitelock a chance to shine and they did. Newcomer Pam Beenham played her first full game. Carlisle opened with a penalty on five minutes and the game was tough for both sides and very fast. Kelly Rushworth equalised on 15 minutes and the score stayed 1-1 after extra time. Crook won 4-3 on penalties. Kaie Hewitson got the first, Kelly Rushworth the second and Amanda Dodds the third. Lynsey Edmondson and Vicky McLean scored for Carlisle, one player skied it and Crook's brilliant keeper Katie Outhwaite saved two.
Crook go into the final against either South Durham Royals or Chester-le-Street.
Crook are at home to Saltburn on Sunday, kick off 2pm.

An early goal from Beth Weller spurred the Lasses on and there were several near misses from Anna Young.
Rachael Fletcher scored the second goal which was closely followed by a goal from Boldon.
Boldon played well in the second half and were rewarded with the equaliser to end the game 2-2.
Despite a good team effort Spraire Lasses struggled to find the net against a strong Blyth team and were punished with a 5-0 defeat.

South Durham Royals
Playing at Wardley Eagles, after ten minutes Sarah McIntosh gave Wardley the start they wanted with a shot from 15 yards which beat Royals keeper Sarah McDonald.
Royals were quick to reply when a Tracey Swales corner was met by the head of Caz Ross for the equaliser.
Six minutes later, after good link up play between Amy Jerrison and Sarah Flatman, the ball was played to Becca Adams on the edge of the box for her to turn the defender and score with a left footed shot.
Five minutes into the second half saw a Swales corner met on the volley by Ross at the back post to increase the lead.
On 55 minutes a through-ball from Kim O'Connor saw Adams' first time shot parried by the keeper for Jerrison to follow-up and score. The next 35 minutes saw the Royals defence of Jodie Gywnn, Rachael Cowans, Kayleigh Harker and Emma Foster soak up the Wardley pressure. Seconds before the final whistle saw Jerrison and Adams link up for Flatman to square the ball across the edge of the box for Swales to slot past the keeper to make the final score 5-1.
