A family have set up memorial fund to remember their daughter, who lost her fight against cancer when she was 16.
Adele's Memorial Trust has been set up in memory of Adele Puckrin, who died in November of a brain tumour after a two-and-a-half year battle.
Last year, she met her idol, singer Gareth Gates, thanks to TFM's Make A Child Smile campaign.
Adele, from Redcar, east Cleveland, who received a Braveheart award and a Princess Diana Memorial Award, dealt with her illness in a courageous way and now family and friends have set up a fund to raise money to help other children and teenagers with cancer.
Her mother, Paula, said: "We want to do this to keep Adele's memory alive."
Since beginning its fundraising drive for local cancer charities, the trust has been asked to help fund a social worker for teenagers diagnosed with cancer.
The social worker, from Sargent Cancer Care for Children, would be based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
Paula said: "Teenagers faced with this life-threatening illness often have many psychological issues to contend with.
"We need to raise £5,000 per year for three years in order to achieve this. Corporate sponsorship of any of our events will help us to achieve this goal much quicker."
Anyone who wants to take part in fundraising activities, donate raffle or tombola prizes, or arrange an event, is asked to ring (01642) 501057 or visit www.adelesmemorial fund.org.uk for information.
